About Barclays Business Systems - Integrated Business Solutions and Equipment for specific businesses

Barclays Business Systems are different in that they evolved from a practical business background rather than an IT background. In practice this means we focus more on finding the solution to fit the business rather than trying to make the business fit the solution.

The founders, William and Deborah Barclay originally owned and ran a successful motorcycle dealership. They had experimented with many software solutions but found them all either too longwinded or unable to handle the more specialised aspects of their business in a simple and practical way. They realised there was a need for software that could really help with the business rather than just documenting the accounts, so in 1985 they employed a team of programmers and established BBS to develop practical computerised systems that would give real benefits and would work the way the users wanted the system to work.

We now have over 650 businesses using our unique software. We have also developed or aquired solutions for other markets and stock a wide range of computers and equipment including a massive range of POS equipment. We even have our own development department so we can handle any really specialised requirements you may have.

To service you better we are building a network of Business Solution centers where you can see solution in action before you buy. We also have traveling area business consultants and technicians if you prefer someone to come to you. To back this up we have support departments in different time zones so you can get help day or night.
